Data Deletion

Last updated: July 17, 2026

You control your data. This page explains how to delete your Skillpato account and personal data, what we remove, and how long it takes. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

How to request deletion

Until in-app account deletion ships, request deletion through our contact form at www.skillpato.com/contact, with the subject "Delete my data":

  • Submit the request using the same email address as your Skillpato account, so we can verify it's you.
  • Tell us whether you want your entire account deleted, or only specific data.

We may need to further verify your identity before acting on the request, to protect your account.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we delete or irreversibly anonymize:

  • Your account and authentication record.
  • Your profile (field, role, interests, display alias) and preferences.
  • Your practice history — answers, XP, skill scores, streak, and leaderboard presence.
  • Support messages tied to your account, unless we must retain them to resolve a dispute.

What we may retain

We may keep limited information where the law allows or requires it — for example, to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Aggregated or anonymized data that can no longer identify you may be retained.

How long it takes

We action verified deletion requests within 30 days. Backups are purged on our regular backup rotation shortly after.
